Japanese Juniper (Juniperus Procumbens Nana)
The Japanese Juniper is the most popular tree for Bonsai because of its compact foliage and ability to train branches into popular shapes. The Japanese Juniper produces tiny brown pine cones once a year and also green berries upon maturity. Requiring good indirect sunlight and moist watering conditions, the Japanese Juniper Bonsai can be grown indoors or out. The Japanese Juniper is cold-hardy and can withstand temperatures below freezing.
