ZZ PLANT 8in

Known for its incredible resilience and striking good looks, the ZZ Plant, Zamioculcas zamiifolia, also affectionately called the “Eternity Plant,” is the ultimate choice for anyone seeking a practically indestructible houseplant! Its common name, “Eternity Plant,” truly speaks to its robust nature, making it perfect for busy individuals or those new to indoor gardening. The ZZ Plant boasts glossy, dark green, naturally shiny leaves that emerge on upright, arching stems, creating a clean, architectural look that enhances any room.

This plant typically grows to about 2-3 feet tall and wide, making it a versatile addition whether it’s a floor plant or a centerpiece on a side table. The Eternity ZZ thrives on neglect, which is a fantastic trait for a houseplant! It stores water in its thick, potato-like rhizomes underground, allowing it to go for weeks without watering. The key is to let the soil dry out completely between waterings, as overwatering is its main enemy. It is incredibly adaptable to light conditions, performing well in low light, medium indirect light, and even under fluorescent lights, though it will grow faster and fuller in brighter indirect light. Here in Prescott, just avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch its beautiful foliage. While it’s a champion of easy care, do remember that all parts of the ZZ plant are considered mildly toxic if ingested, so it’s best kept out of reach of curious pets and small children. Its hardiness and elegant appearance make the Eternity ZZ Plant a truly rewarding and long-lasting addition to your home.
