How it Works

Flower pressing is the simple process of removing moisture from a plant while holding it perfectly flat.

The Sandwich Method: This press comes with layers of cardboard and blotting paper. You simply place your flower between two sheets of paper, sandwich that between cardboard, and tighten the nuts.

Top Tip: Because this press is small, it exerts pressure very efficiently. It is excellent for drying thicker items like clover flowers or small rosebuds that might struggle in a larger, flexier press.

This press is designed for small treasures. Look for:

• Individual Petals: Take a single petal from a larger rose or tulip to create a “confetti” effect.
• Wildflowers: Daisies, Buttercups, and Clover leaves fit perfectly.

• Forget-me-not ‘Blue’: The miniature classic. Sprigs of tiny blue forget-me-nots are the ideal scale for this press. They dry quickly and keep their colour well.
• Viola ‘Sorbet Morpho’: The perfect face. Violas are smaller than Pansies, meaning you can fit 4 or 5 of them into a single layer of this mini press. The yellow and blue pattern dries beautifully.
• Borage (Starflower): The blue star. Pull the individual blue star-flowers off the Borage plant. They lie perfectly flat and look incredible when pressed and mounted on cards.
