Catnip (Nepeta cataria)

Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is a hardy perennial herb loved by cats for its aromatic foliage, which can trigger a playful response in many felines. It produces attractive spikes of small white to pale purple flowers and fragrant, soft green leaves, making it both a useful herb and an ornamental addition to the garden. Best grown in full sun to part shade in well-drained soil, Catnip is easy to grow and also attracts bees and other beneficial pollinators.
